A simple Google search completely changed my life.

"How are images uploaded to the internet?" That one question set everything in motion. From that day forward, I was captivated by the fundamentals of web design, UX research, and front-end development.

I never intended to become a graphic, web designer. I started as a kitchen designer at Home Depot, pursuing an NKBA certification. Also, I had just been accepted into the IBEW Electrical Journeyman Apprenticeship program. But curiosity pushed me in a new career direction—I enrolled in Designation (now Flatiron School) and never looked back.

Now, with 900+ hours of UX training and front-end skills, I design websites, emails, banner ads, and mobile apps—all to create standout, user-friendly digital experiences.

February 2016—my last day as a kitchen designer.
